Atlanta Millionaires Club is really consistent. Nothing on the album (other than father’s verse on Flowers.) is “bad”, and the only lowlight is What Used to Be, which in my opinion, is a little unmemorable but still good. Come to Atlanta and Hurts Me Too are both great and really catchy, and obviously Kingston is the popular highlight. The ending reprise of Jonny is also a great spoken word outro, and acts as a bow tying the album’s theme of heartbreak together. The album is produced well, with jazz and other influences that border on country . I personally prefer Webster’s voice over the jazzier instrumentals compared to the steel guitar, but either is compatible. Overall, the album creates a very well written, sonically appealing, and intimate atmosphere. It’s very good.

This is one of my favorite albums of all time. Faye Websters voice incorporated with a jazzy production is perfection. Note that this isn’t a jazz album, that’s not what i’m saying. This album is a perfection conglomeration of jazz, folk, R&B, country, and one of the songs even has hip hop. I really love the songs «Jonny» and «Jonny (Reprise)». «Kingston» and «Right Side of my Neck» are just fantastic. I love Faye’s vocals, as they suit the production so well. «Flowers» is a fantastic song as well, Father (a Atlanta rapper) has an amazing feature on it. Overall this an amazing album and I highly recommend.
