I’ve been wanting to do this album review for a while because I’ve heard nothing but great things about this album. Going into this, I was honestly expecting not to like this album as much as everyone else, and unfortunately, I was right. This album is 90% instrumental, which I actually really like, but it didn’t blow me away as much as I wish it would have. I’m going to break this album down song by song with my own interpretations of what each one means and why I think this album as a whole is overrated. Storm: This song was great, especially the buildup for the first 6 minutes. The song starts hopeful and then gets more distorted as it goes on and sounds less hopeful. I think the meaning of this song is to show that life is beautiful but also full of pain and suffering, especially in the modern day. It is this contrast between beauty and suffering that actually makes life more beautiful and worth it because if everything was perfect, then the good parts of life wouldn’t be so special. Static: I didn’t like this song that much, if I’m being honest. I’m assuming this song is meant to somehow criticize organized religion if we consider the sermon speeches and the ominous music that plays in the background during said speech. However, I’m not sure if that’s the full message of the song, as I suppose it’s seriously up to interpretation, but all in all, I found this song to be a disappointment and uninteresting, as I’ve heard enough anti-religious songs in my time. This really isn’t anything super special. Sleep: This is the song that’s been glazed the most on this album, but I think it’s overrated also (it’s still a 9 lol). Don’t get me wrong, I think the song is good, but it didn’t wow me. I believe the theme of this song is nostalgia for the past and realizing that things are different and the circumstances that once made you happy a long time ago are no longer in play. That doesn’t necessarily mean the past was better, though, as humans tend to romanticize the past, which is referred to as rosy retrospection. I’ve seen this theme come up in other songs as well, so it’s nothing that’s too different. Antennas to Heaven: This is the final track of the album, and it was good, but again, not as good as other people’s ratings suggest. After doing my own research, I believe this song to be about accepting the passage of time and that you can’t relive the past and that change is inevitable. Despite all the suffering that humans go through, to be alive is an absurd gift with beauty to be found in it. Overall, I found this album to be good, but I was a little disappointed that I didn’t like it as much as everyone else seems to. I think this album could’ve been much better if Static wasn’t such a weak song. Best song: Sleep (9.3/10) Worst song: Static (5.5/10)

Best post-rock album ever without a doubt and one of the best albums as a whole. 1.27 hours of pure bless. I couldnt handle the fact that they deleted their spotify and i couldn't listen to them so i literally bought this albums vinyl a couple days ago. Pure masterpiece that broke the scales. 11.1/10

This is not even glazing. This is the best piece ever composed in human music history, second only to the lacrimosa by Giuseppe Verdi. Everything on this album is good. The instrumentals, the playing, the samples. It changed history forever and should be studied in every school
