Such a good album, the era is good, the sound compared to their other stuff is unmatched. I love it so much

My thoughts on this album are very complicated, I LOVE most of the songs here, but yet I only think one is a full 10/10. I also have the same gripe with this as I do Trench, there are a couple songs that just don’t fit and sound so out of place.

Thanks to this album, I started listening to twenty one pilots. I really love this album. All the songs in this album are pure masterpiece, but I don't really like the craving jenna's version, the original version is better in my opinion.

A great return to form for the band after the poppy, whimsical (and controversial) sound of Scaled and Icy. Overcompensate rivals Jumpsuit and Heavydirtysoul for the best opener of a Twenty One Pilots album and honestly it’s one of the go-to songs I’d suggest to someone who’s never heard of them outside of Stressed Out and Ride. The grungy rock sound fits this album perfectly with songs like Navigating or At the Risk of Feeling Dumb.

The Album That Got Me Into Tøp There are so many memorable tracks on this album, with “Paladin Strait” being my personal favourite. I love how it slowly builds throughout the song and feels like such a powerful conclusion to the album. There’s something really satisfying about the way it ties everything together, especially considering the larger story and themes surrounding Clancy. Most of the songs are just plain old fun to listen to, too. “Overcompensate” is such a strong opener and immediately sets the tone for the album. Then you have songs like “Routines in the Night” and “Vignette,” which are just ridiculously catchy. “Routines in the Night” has such an addictive chorus, while “Vignette” feels like a perfect example of the band taking darker subject matter and turning it into something incredibly fun to listen to. This album will always hold a special place in my heart, as it was the first project I truly sat down and listened to from beginning to end. I think that makes the experience of listening to Clancy even more meaningful for me, because I got to experience every song as part of the album rather than just hearing individual tracks. There’s such a great balance between the upbeat, catchy songs and the quieter, more emotional moments, and I think that variety is what makes the album so enjoyable from start to finish. That being said, unfortunately It doesn't have such a strong theme as the rest of the albums have, which makes Clancy feel a little less special. It's like a collection of songs that yes, do sound good, but ultimately lack the storyline-heavy atmosphere of Trench or the more emotional moments of Vessel. It does have those things of course, just not as much.

I would call myself a casual twenty one pilots fan, but I am not exaggerating when I say this is one of my favorite albums of all time. Everything about it from the vocals to the storytelling is peak music.
