there is something so hauntingly beautiful about her voice and the instrumentals on this album — i hear it a lot especially in abbey and eric, which have to be two of my favorites on the album. mitski so talented and so, so unique, and this being her first album really shows that.

the fact this was her first project ever and it was for college actually sends me through the roof like how can u portray over 50 different emotions in one record w only 9 songs and also make it relatable to every single person on the planet. mitski is a literal lyrical genius 10/10 x

Lush was just a big bumpy roller coaster for me honestly.

That’s a crazy first album, although it’s not one of my favorite of hers
It’s so gloomy and dark from the cover to the lyrics and production
