Not a SINGLE bad album in THIRTEEN years

this is literally my favorite debut album. can we talk about how lorde, at such a young age, was able to write such incredible lyrics that convey so many feelings at once? plus, she knew how to pick such good singles. i have zero complaints about this record, i love it so much

I can say, Lorde does know how to pick out her singles with this release. They were the best songs on this album despite the album being a pretty good release and definitely her best in my opinion. I loved the tone in her voice in most of the songs, though it does get a little tiring to me after like 4-5 songs. I would like to see more variation in her other albums! I remember listening to them a couple years ago, but I haven’t since then lol. Absolutely killed her lyrics in this as well, sometimes I saw them as a juvenile version of what she was trying to do, but they were still good and created a well-established and polished piece as a whole. (This is a 7.5 without The Love Club EP added)
