so beautiful uurghhhh i love the beat drops on this album

beautfully soul crushing

The lost twin of little victories

One of the most devastatingly soul crushing beautiful songs of all time and one of the greatest songs ever made. The 6 minute outro is the most beautiful thing i’ve heard. I see the earthen golems in the song as a metaphor for humanity being inherently destructive. However like humans they are aware of this inherent trait and how it is leading to their downfall yet for some reason the path of destruction continues which is why they wish they were dead because they aren’t willing (or able) to stop it. The 6 minute instrumental “wall of sound” outro to this song fits this theme remarkably well. It sounds like the end of the world as the golems continue their path of destruction as the world collapses in on itself.

This song is like the final moments before death where your whole life plays back while you slowly fade away.
