The lyrics and the beat sets a more slow and calming vibe, that sets the mood mainly. In my opinion, joji is a lyrical genius whether if it’s intentional or not. It almost seems how effortlessly he can describe feelings you weren’t ever able to. The feeling of living life, slow and feeling like you have it all together, but in the end, someone..is on your mind. “Hard to think about you anymore, but I keep you in my mind always.” Is kind of a symbol of not being able to remember that person, or maybe the last time you talked to them is a complete blur from how long ago it was..but you always think of them, and what it could’ve been if you kept your shit together, like you do in the moment.
