JOECHILLWORLD

Devon Hendryx Album

An interesting record with some very unique production of mixed samples and almost Psychedelic feel to them. With pretty harsh lyrics may be hard to get into for some but might add to the flavor for others. One of the first records under the Devon Hendryx name and it demonstrates his raw style with these earlier projects.

Mr. Midnight

Larry June Album

Revisiting this project was a nice surprise, some pretty solid flows from Larry and very chill vibes. Organic Mud & Tracy, Ca the standouts for me with that amazing Sade sample on Tracy. Very consistent tape, with some chill synth heavy production on some and laid back trap beats on others.

Wap Konn Jòj!

Mach-Hommy Album

A more mellow Mach record with some amazing songs like the Alchemist produced Chiney Brush into an insane song like Mozambique Drill. A shorter project still with plenty of quality to have the listener digest. Not my favorite record but still a very good album to get started on Mach or dive into his discography.

MAY GOD BLESS YOUR HUSTLE

MIKE Album

With an intriguing lyricist like MIKE between his lyrics and overall vibe he creates these very interesting atmospheres. An incredible album with song topics that could bring tears to anyone’s eye and incredible production as the backdrop. Not my favorite in the middle but still maintains the quality of the whole project. Some of his most personal songs and self reflecting. One of my favorite MIKE records.

Showbiz!

MIKE Album

Very long tracklist with shorter songs MIKE packs these songs in with incredible lyricism and catchy and sometimes unconventional beats. Putting together these tracks with a consistent theme and transitions that just hold it all together. With heartfelt or heartbroken lyricism you feel everything or try to feel what MIKE does as he flows over these abstract beats. Love the sample choices as well from these producers. Also I don’t care if the ratings are glaze he’s just that good.
