Man’s Best Friend (Bonus Track Version)

Sabrina Carpenter Album

i feel like everything sabrina wanted to do with this album, she achieved. the only things i’d remove are tears and when did you get hot, since they don’t really fit the album’s theme, even though they’re not bad tracks. aside from that, i think better production could’ve made the album even stronger, but the lyricism is beautiful and sabrina’s delivery adds so much to it. definitely recommend.

Fallen Angel (Digital EP)

JENNIE Album

idk what to think about this “ep.” i don’t like that half of it is only available on cd, which makes it feel more like a boring single. the songs aren’t bad, but compared to jennie’s other music, this feels pretty underwhelming.

BEAUTIFUL CHAOS

KATSEYE Album

gnarly completely ruins this ep for me, it hurts the average, breaks the concept’s cohesion, and is a terrible opener because it doesn’t introduce the project’s overall sound at all. if they wanted something more experimental, they could’ve made another m.i.a., which is much better executed. honestly, gnarly is the only bad track here. the rest is pretty standard and generic pop, with gameboy, gabriela, and mean girls feeling especially safe. m.i.a. tries to break out of that, but the ep still lacks a clear identity. on the positive side, the songs at least reach satisfying points in their structures. i’d still recommend it since it’s not an unpleasant listen.

i love the vibe, i think it’s insanely good, although the lyrics might fall a little short in some aspects
