I love the creativity on this project and the amazing production. The switch from a high pitched voice on a song about dark humor, or drugs, to a normal voice about serious story telling to so creative and cool in general. “Ain’t it funny” is one of my favorite tracks with the intense brass section throughout the song, this whole song feel like drug inducing with the experimental, intense, some silky feeling songs, and the intense high pitched voice Danny brown puts in most of the album. “Really doe” is one my favorite tracks aswell, everyone featured did an amazing job, the production felt like a spider crawling around, it felt earie(how ever it’s spelled). Petite noir, B-real, Ab-soul were some my favorite features on the track, petite noir has amazing vocals, b real had awesome vocals too, and ab souls rapping, flow, and delivery was amazing at best. Over all, this is one my favorite hip hop albums ever, it’s so creative and experimental. This project made hiphop overall a more versatile genre, it shows how versatile rap can get with creativity and some experimenting.

Everything about he album is great, lyrics, rapping and the production but it has some weak songs such as "Downward Spiral", "Pneumonia" and "Lost". Everything else is fantastic

My favorite album in the experimental hip-hop genre, and one of the most lyrical stories I’ve ever heard. Danny Brown’s “Atrocity Exhibition” isn’t just an album with great instrumentals, but a secret battle against drugs, where Danny’s suffering turns into laughs and entertainment for listeners. While all the rappers in 2016 were rapping about clubs, Danny exposed real depression, paranoia, and death by overdose. Listeners just dance to his tracks, but while he’s begging for help in the lyrics, people simply don’t hear him—his pain is just a good beat for the crowd. Danny also touches on his Detroit roots, recalling life on the streets, drug dealing, and poverty—which is why he started using drugs in the first place. And the very end of the album shows that, for him, drugs don’t bring pleasure, but rather a numbing of the pain. The album’s concept alone deserves a solid 10, not to mention the tracks themselves. Danny Brown ranks among the top 5 rappers, and his voice is one of the most perfect in the rap industry. My personal favorite track is “When It Rain,”—a perfect instrumental paired with deep, somber lyrics. While people are dancing to the music, Danny cries out for help; it’s arguably one of the most haunting tracks on the album. And the best track on the album is “Ain’t It Funny”—the music video for this song is perfectly crafted; it’s the emotional peak of the album, featuring a vibrant, almost church-like instrumental, where Danny raps about how he’s destroying his family, his health, and his life, knowing that it’s all just another show. the most emotional track on the album. The entire album deserves a mention for its flawless concept. Is this album worth listening to? Absolutely—it’s a masterpiece.

Bulk Album Re-Review 3/75

it has definitely grown on me slightly since my first review, but the things I said the first time still stand, Get Hi blocks this album from getting a 10/10 and the 3 song run Really Doe-Lost-Ain't It Funny is still one of if not the best 3 song runs ever.
