It is impossible for me to put into words how much I love this song, I love it so much it feels disrespectful to call it a song I must call it a masterpiece of art

tp 1 j.cole 4 Your Eyez Only is an easy 10/10 because cole completely drops his ego and willingly acts like a side character just to fulfill his dead friends final wish he masterfully flips the script on what it actually means to be "real" showing that james street pride was just a backwards mask and that true immortality comes from the pure, unselfish love he left behind for Nina

one of the best hip hop songs ever. this track is probably rivalled only by samidot. this is such a deep track, as he raps from the perspective of his real life friend from the ville who passed. he gives the message he believes he would want his friend to say and aim it at the daughter of his friend in this song in an emotional but powerful performance.
