brakence Album
"marroW" sees Randy continue down the electronical emo path set many a brakence project ago, now presenting some more guitars and beat variety for a project that will satisfy those who've waited and not really blow away doubters. Still a fun listen, always cool to hear brakence do his thing.

Cameron Winter Album
Cameron's energy carries into this performance that strips entire songs from his "Heavy Metal" record and a few new ones down to a piano and a crowd eager to hear a young artist make the most of the least.

Quadeca Album
Quadeca makes his most eclectic and carefree album since "Voice Memos," letting go of large scale concepts in place of individual ideas coming together for a messy but entertaining and authentic record.

The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore
The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore
Taylor Swift Album
I really wanted to say "Showgirl" grew on me over the last year and that I could revisit it (with the four new tracks) in a more positive light, but that didn't happen. At this point I don't think that will happen, if anything some of the songs I previously liked have since grown cold with time. As far as the new songs go, they're 50/50. I enjoy the punchy drums and rhythm on "Pink Clouding," reminds me of something from "Lover." Same things could be said for the new closer "Babylon" which was another moment of clarity. The other two new songs came and went, one of them showing that picking pre-released singles may not be in Taylor's strongsuits and that when a song has an exclamation point, be prepared for the worst.

Bass Persuades
Bass Persuades
Miley Cyrus Album
While not the showstopper initially anticipated, "Bass Persuades" follows the tradition of Miley making whatever the hell she wants to. Where artists usually get rusty after being in it for a while, it seems like Miley can come through with interesting ideas and create a hodgepodge of ballads and occasionally ear-catching electronics. Despite not reaching the highs from previous efforts this decade, she stays afloat with the intriguing mix of styles on her tenth album.

THOUGHTS ON THE 9/17/26 BATCH OF GTA VI SINGLES:

A nice variety from just a handful of artists involved in the soundtrack. We've already got some bangers lined up here, especially with Rauw's "Macacoa 2000" and CA7RIEL and company's "Sexy Magic" at play. I'm a little colder towards the remaining singles, but I will give props to "RHYNO" for being a cool little song from Travis, alongside some eerie production from one half of Daft Punk Guy-Manuel.

FAVORITES: Sexy Magic, Macacoa 2000, RHYNO
LEAST FAVORITES: Last Thing You Need

BROCKHAMPTON Alumni Ciarán / bearface Set to Return

Ciáran McDonald made his mark on modern-day boyband BROCKHAMPTON, standing out as the timid but showstopping singer-songwriter while maintaining himself shrouded in mystery outside the music.

Following the group's disbandment in 2022, he took to social media to speak on the making of BROCKHAMPTON's penultimate record, writing down his simultaneous struggles and gratitude for the experience, closing out his statement by retiring the "bearface" moniker.

Where many of his peers went on to further endeavors and solo projects quickly after, Ciarán kept quiet for a few years. Fans would be surprised by his sudden return to social media on July 17th 2026, in which his Instagram page was cleared, along a new bio stating "mmmmonday." Monday arrived and people were greeted with a website containing an interactive car wreck and a note from the obscure musician thanking fans for their patience.

Now under Ninja Tune, new music seems imminent.
